Allergy labels can prevent a severe allergic reaction which could turn into a severe situation. Allergy labels are simple pressure sensitive labels; however, by adding this to a chart or in any other area where a staff members attention may be caught, a life could be saved. Allergen labeling is quite possibly some of the most important information communicated amongst health care providers and patients. Allergy labels along with other medical warning labels can call attention to proper handling of grave situations and avoidance of mistakes.
