Nevs Ink manufactures several different types of autoclave tape (commonly called autoclave indicator tape) used in order to determine that items have gone through the sterilization process. Currently, Nevs Ink offers three different types of autoclave tape: Regular White to Black Autoclave Tape, Blue to Pink Lead Free Autoclave Tape, and White to Black Lead Free Autoclave Tape. After having gone through the steam sterilization process, Regular White to Black Autoclave Tape turns from white to black diagonal stripes. Regular White to Black Autoclave Tape adheres securely directly to the item going through the sterilization process as well as securely to single-ply sterilization wraps. The autoclave tape will not leave a sticky residue behind once it is removed. Blue to Pink Lead Free Autoclave Tape is imprinted with the word AUTOCLAVED in blue ink. Blue to Pink Lead Free Autoclave Tape is adhered to a single-ply blue sterilization wrap that is secured around the item going through the steam sterilization process. Once it has passed through the steam sterilization process, the imprint will turn from blue to pink. White to Black Lead Free Autoclave Tape is well suited for the research environment. It can be adhered directly to the item going through the steam sterilization process. Upon completing the steam sterilization process the word AUTOCLAVED will appear in black.
