Imaging Labels

Radiology departments in hospitals and clinics have unique labeling needs. An x-ray of one patient can easily be confused with an x-ray of another patient. Furthermore, a mammogram view from above can be difficult to differentiate from a mammogram view from below. Imaging labels help physicians differentiate between different patients and viewpoints. For example, mammography labels clearly describe the angle at which an image was taken. Moreover, many times several x-rays are taken in the process of a fractured bone healing. Date labels ensure the easy organization of x-rays so a doctor can see the progression of new bone growth. There is no uncertainty for whether a break is improving or getting worse. X-rays and other images often leave the radiology department, and in some cases, leave a hospital. Imaging labels are utilized to request that an image is either not destroyed (do not destroy labels) or is returned to the radiology department (please return labels). Ultimately, imaging labels provide necessary information for all hospital staff and make sure that pivotal data about healing is not lost.
