There are several different types of printers utilized in reference to blood draws. Blood labels are specific to the different lines of printers. For example Misys/Sunquest forms and letters are a popular form of blood labels. Depending on the printer model, many variations of labels can be used that have different internal knife cuts. These blood labels allow for easy labeling of blood samples and the tests they are used to run. Cerner Pathnet CCIS anc Cernet Pathnet Millenium are two other printer brands that utilize blood labels. Unique designs in terms of blood labels must be used to comply with Cerner Pathnet printers. Finally, the last big player in printers and their respective blood labels is Meditech. Meditech blood labels come in different variations and colors. If you require a specific color for your blood labels that we do not currently offer as a stock product, please contact us about creating customized labels that fit your specific printer model at (800) 638-7465. If you are looking to create blood labels with a dark background color, we suggest that, rather than flood coating the entire label with the color, you instead create a border with said color around the edge of each label part. The effect is the same in catching the eyes attention, but the information printed on the label is much more easily legible.
